Rizal Kamal is the visionary behind LOL Asia, a pioneering producer of comedy shows, concerts, live TV, and social media content. Since its inception in 2009, LOL Asia has been at the forefront of Malaysia's burgeoning live entertainment scene, earning the ‘Best Entertainment Company’ award at the BOSS Awards in 2016 and Rizal the Augustman’s ‘Men of The Year’ in 2019.
Rizal is celebrated for his significant achievements, including multiple sold-out concerts with local artists like Ella, Search, Hujan, and Yuna, and arena-sized comedy shows with Kevin Hart and Russell Peters. His latest effort is producing Korea's vocal queen Ailee's concert in Malaysia, marking his entry into the world of K-pop entertainment.In the comedy world, his relentless efforts since the inception of LOL Asia have resulted in a diverse portfolio that includes hundreds of comedy shows, an annual comedy festival, several live comedy TV shows, a comedy club, a talent development program, and international
comedy tours. Under his leadership, LOL Asia has worked with over 300 comedy talents, featuring luminaries such as Gabriel Iglesias, Jimmy Carr, Jeff Dunham, Eddie Izzard, Ronny Chieng, Kumar, and Margaret Cho.
As President of ALIFE since 2018, Rizal leads the live performance industry through its various challenges with regulations, funding, industry growth, media, and managing public perception. He advocates for the growth of the arts, live events, concerts, and festivals, playing a pivotal role in boosting the live performance industry.
Rizal envisions expanding LOL Asia throughout Asia, aiming to capture a piece of the region's vibrant live entertainment scene. In 2023/24, LOL Asia produced shows in 25 cities across Asia and Australia, with South East Asia’s comedy icon Kumar leading the charge, setting the stage for the company’s entry into different markets. Rizal's achievements have been widely recognized, earning him accolades such as M2’s Leading Men, Clive Men of 2011, Prestige’s Top 40 under 40, Newman’s Creative Pioneer Award, Augustman A-Lister, and Augustman Men of The Year 2019.
