  • Finalists that have passed the audition may not be screened if contents/ works are inappropriate, incomplete or involved in any copyright infringement debate. A notification will be issued.
  • Subject to screen time availability, non-finalists’ works can also be screened for those who have agreed to do so.

Details for First Video Screening

  • Please use the “Temp_1minute_PIFA” composition in the After Effects distribution template as the final composition.
  • Submit the video exported from the “PIFAProjection_Preview” composition in the After Effects distribution template.
  • Rough sketches, still images, storyboards, and other incomplete works may not pass the preliminary screening
  • Download projection mapping dimensions here

First Submission Video Data
  • Resolution: 1920 x 650
  • Contents Length: 1 minute to 1 minute 59 seconds
  • Frame Rate: 30/fps
  • Video Format: h264, mp4 recommended
  • Audio: Embedded in the video content, and attach WAV / mp3 data of the same length as the video
  • Video Data Filename: Entry number_submission date.mp4
  • EG> Ex: 001_20220411.mp4 
Additional Submission Requirements
  • Explanation of the concept, theme or content of the work (approximately 100 words)
  • 1 captured image of the work (6656 x 1920)
  • Video data of the work for the first screening (MP4 format, embedded audio)
  • The distributed template (Illustrator/After Effects) has columns for “Team Name,” “Title,” and “Video Length.
  • Please check the "PIFAProjection_Preview" composition within the provided template in After Effects to preview how the image will appear when projected.
  • Please export the “PIFAProjection_Preview” composition in the template (After Effects) when you export the video.

Details for Final Video Screening

  • Make any final changes and submit the final video according to the video data stated below.
  • Submit the video exported from the “PIFAProjection_Preview” composition in the After Effects distribution template.
  • Rough sketches, still images, storyboards, and other incomplete works may not pass the preliminary screening.

  • Content Length: 1 minute to 1 minute 59 seconds
  • Frame Rate: 30/fps
  • Video Format: MOV (HAP)
  • Audio: Embedded in the video content, and attach WAV data of the same length as the video
  • Video Data Filename: Entry number_team_submission date.mov
  • EG> Ex: 001_PIFAmapping_20220411.mov

  • IMPORTANT

Submissions will not be accepted in the following cases:

  1. If the video does not follow the stipulated production format for the championship
  2. If the video is damaged and not playable. 
  3. If the video carries significantly offensive images to the viewers and/or excessively stimulating expressions, sexual, strong religious views, or political messages. Competition organisers decision will be final.
  4. The video length is less than or exceeds the regulation of 1min - 1min 59sec

IMPORTANT NOTES

Terms & Conditions of Participation
  • Participants must ensure that their submissions do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or ownership of others. In the unlikely event that a third party raises a dispute alleging infringement, the organiser and the organising committee shall not be held accountable. The participant will bear full responsibility for any financial burdens incurred, including legal fees and payment of damages.
  • Any submission found to infringe upon the rights of others will be promptly disqualified. If such infringement is discovered post the Championship Award, the said award will be revoked, and the prize money along with any additional prizes must be returned.
  • Participants are strictly prohibited from sharing their videos online, on social media, or any other platform accessible to third parties prior to the announcement of the final results. Discovery of such action will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Furthermore, participants may face disqualification for any additional comments or posts on social media that could influence the outcome or the judges before the final result is announced.
Copyrights & Rights of Use
  • The participant or the creative team must possess the copyright to the audio and video data submitted. However, the organiser retains the right to adjust the images (such as brightness, contrast, colour tone, and volume) as necessary for screening purposes as part of its administrative responsibilities; participants are not entitled to make any legal claims against such actions.
  • The organiser and its co-sponsors reserve the right to utilise the images and recordings captured during the Championship for publicity and event reporting, as well as for the promotion of future projection mapping series and activities post the Championship.
  • The organiser and co-sponsors may develop and market various goods and products utilising the recorded images and videos from the Championship.
  • Sponsors and collaborating companies may utilise images and recordings from the Championship for their product advertisements and promotions under the supervision of the organiser and its committee.
  • Upon submission of entry documentation, participants acknowledge and consent to refrain from asserting copyright or moral rights against any usage, including secondary use, by the Association, the organiser, its executive committee, and its co-sponsors of the Championship.
