Barry Pereira

Barry Basil Pereira is a Singapore-based security professional with 10+ years of experience protecting mission-critical environments, from integrated resorts and data centers to semiconductor fabs.

Barry started his career as a Gaming Security Supervisor at Marina Bay Sands. He then spent several years at Google’s Singapore data center, supporting security planning and deployment for a new facility. After serving as Assistant Loss Prevention Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, he became Site Security Manager at Micron Technology. There he led security for two fab sites, delivered CCTV, access control and intercom projects, and reduced security incidents by 25% through proactive risk assessment.

Barry has also served as Head of Operations at Singapore Security Force. He has trained police officers in contact tactics at Home Team Academy and lectured security professionals at Temasek Polytechnic’s Security Industry Institute.

He holds a Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Security Management and is a Certified Protection Officer (CPO), a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP) and a Certified Red Teaming Officer. He is pursuing a FlexiMasters in General Management at Nanyang Business School.
